“ As part of my sons birthday celebration, my daughter, son, and I decided to go for dinner at the Fearrington House restaurant. My son did some research and based on the reviews, we chose this restaurant for his birthday dinner. The Fearrington House restaurant is situated in a village environment. The set up is beautiful and is reminiscent of a plantation. There is an inn on the property and other activities available. We were greeted professionally and seated quickly upon arrival. The tables are set up in various rooms within the building. Our table was in a cozy area towards the back of one of the rooms. Our server was also very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. As this was our first time visiting this restaurant, she was patient with us, and answered our questions accordingly. This enhanced our visit. We each had a four course meal with different chef treats between the courses. All dishes served were plated nicely and were very creative and unique. The combination of flavors created a burst of different sensations within the mouth. There were a few dishes that we enjoyed quite a bit and others more of an acquired taste but was flavorful. We were concerned that the portions would be too small, and we would still feel hungry at the end of our four course meal however, that was not the case. The portions were adequate, and because of how many courses there were, by the time we were finished, we felt full and content. Each dish was cooked appropriately, had great texture and consistency. We drank distilled water, and we only ordered one mixed drink. The Irish Teatime was a great drink. It was tasty, not too strong, and refreshing. My son enjoyed it very much. Overall, we had a good visit. More importantly, my son was extremely happy with his birthday dinner celebration and the small birthday treats from the chef. ”

“ This place is wonderful. Our servers were a delight, they were very accommodating, friendly and exceeded all our needs. The food was phenomenal. Everything was perfectly served any plated, and it was all timed and came out correctly. For the price point it was a great relaxing experience. Highly recommend. Also the portion sizes were very generous. ”

“ In the great circle of restaurant journeys, there are those places that you always mean to go. Places that have stellar reviews, long history, amazing reputations...and for some reason or another you never quite make it. Tonight we hit one of our longtime list dwellers and were NOT disappointed. This really was an experience. Top notch service. Atmosphere. Food. Wine. They even had a special menu printed for our anniversary celebration. I could spend a lot of time reviewing the food, but I think you really cant go wrong. Pick a menu and make sure to get the wine pairings because your eyes will be opened up to some amazing combinations. Sommeliers were top notch. One amazing standout was the halibut my wife enjoyed. Truly one of the best pieces of fish either of us have had. The Hokkaido scallops and remarkable interpretation of steak tartare ranked a close second. And finally, get the chocolate souffle. You will not regret it. ”

“ Loved the service. Very classy, low lights, attentive hosts, just the right atmosphere for my birthday. I also had a menu personalized with my name. We were given tastes of the chefs specials between waits. But I loved the bread and butter more than anything else. The dishes tasted ok, the names threw me off with all the French. My dish with sorghum looked nice but I dont feel the taste blended together. Looked my brisket. Was crispy and soft. The coffee on the lamb dish seemed a little too burnt just for me to find the meat pink inside. Maybe ask guest if they want theirs well done. But the host was quick to fix this while I had some more of the rolls I liked. Will definitely be back. The four course meal with appetizers left me feeling so full. I got a gift box at the end too. Impeccable service! You guys rock! ”

“ We go annually for the afternoon tea and love the selection of delicacies and teas. Reservations are suggested and they serve the tea Thursday Sunday afternoons. The service is always top notch and it is fun to walk around Fearrington Village after enjoying tea. The price is now 65 per person. ”

“ We had a lovely weekend dinner at Fearrington House. We opted for the chefs tasting menu along with the wine pairing. The courses seemed reasonably sized so that by the end of the evething you still could enjoy dessert. Make sure to get the chocolate souffle! The server was witty and personable and had excellent recommendations for our dinner. Our wine waiter did a great job of explaining the wine and why it was chosen to be paired with the course. The grounds for the restaurant were lovely with all the spring flowers starting to bloom. I also enjoyed how spaced out the restaurant was inside because it never felt too loud. Its nice to be able to talk comfortably at your table and hear each other. I highly recommend this restaurant for a celebration or higher end meal. We will be back! ”
